RenameMan is a handy tool that enables you to rename large groups of files in a few easy steps. RenameMan is a smart tool that automatically finds common strings in files selected for the renaming operation. With this program, you can rename files by replacing same text strings in their names, replacing spaces with underscores, adding leading zeros, creating a numbered sequence, appending file size, converting names to upper case/lower case etc.

RenameMan also allows you to rename MP3 files and digital photos by using information from ID3 tags or EXIF data like artist, album, composer, date/time etc. RenameMan is fast, simple and very user-friendly. It allows you to preview the to-be-renamed files before they are actually renamed, and provides you with an Undo option to undo your untidy rename commands.

One of the coolest features of RenameMan is that it provides you with a number of pre-defined stored commands like prefix/append last modified date, capitalize, strip spaces etc., which can be used as a base for your renaming operation. It also allows you to store your own commands for future use. Interestingly, you can access RenameMan directly from your Windows Explorer context menu and perform renaming operation without even starting the tool.
